Ps4 should i buy the disk or downloadable

I bought most of my games digitally on the ps3 and it got to be quite tedious to delete and re-download random games i felt like playing. Plus these games are all huge.

Pondering going all-digital. Right now I go disc for day 1 purchases and digital for sales. I feel filthy swapping discs like a 5 dollar hoe on my brand spanking new PS4. Having a luxuriant digital library is worth it really, if you can afford it. Hell - if a day 1 purchase is more expensive, it's mostly just a bucks difference. I'm making like five day one purchases a year tops. Paupers please! I have the cheapest-ass fibre optics internet connection money can buy, and do a 30 GB client in like an hour or less.

For all the reasons you listed, I would also love to go all digital. However, I worry about running out of HDD space at some point, even with cloud saves. Discs still install the entire game to the HD, so either way you'll have to delete installs to free up space. I rarely have more than one or two games installed at a time on my Steam Account. With how all installed games are displayed on PS4, it just shows how much more convenient an all-digital library truely is.

I wanted to go all digital, but those download sizes are just too big for my internet connection, plus that hard drive size is so small.

I've got 4 disc games for my Ps4 as of right now and a few small downloadable games. August 28, August 18, August 17, July 21, Rebecca Kenney My favourite gaming console is the PS4, of course, and in my spare time I love to write.

Tech Support. Can u play the without a harddrive? So put those four screws in the sides, get the caddy back in the PS4, fasten it in place with the large screw and put the shiny plastic HDD cover back on the PS4. Place the hard drive or SSD into the caddy, secure, then slot it back into the Slim or Pro console, screw it in, and replace the plastic cover.

If the hard drive or SSD doesn't fit, are you sure you checked it was a 9. Now you have a PS4 with a completely blank memory.

The console's OS is stored on the hard drive you just removed, and the drive inside your console is completely blank. You need to download the software in standalone form, using another computer. You'll find it over at the PlayStation website , and it takes up around a gigabyte at present.

You can then connect your controller with a USB cable and select option seven to reinstall your system software. Is upgrading your PS4 hard drive worth doing? And, if you spend more on an SSD, you can get a solid speed boost for your machine, too. It doesn't even invalidate your warranty - it's as though Sony is willing you to do it! The key question as of the arrival of the 4.

The other big question is whether to opt for a more affordable hard disk or a pricier, quicker SSD. Upgrading your PS4 hard disk does take a little bit of research, and it can be daunting to open your console — even if the process is pleasingly simple.
